Humble Beginnings
The North Silver Spring Community Dental and Health Clinic initially provided free or low cost dental care to individuals with no financial means to obtain critical dental/health care in the local DC metropolitan area for over 30 years.
The clinic has since expanded its services and reach internationally to help those in need in underserved areas such as Pakistan and Haiti
Our Projects
We pride ourselves in assisting those in need in multiple ways
Work against hunger
- Action against hunger projects have been established to provide monthly rations to the very poor/sick/homeless who have no source of income for basic nutrition needs of survival.
- Multiple clean water and well initiatives have been completed
Medical Projects
Helping to support the under privileged with healthcare such as :
- Dental care and supplies
- Prenatal care for those without sufficient access
- Cataract surgeries to restore vision for the blind who had no financial ability for the surgery
- Various treatments for cardiovascular disorders – such as access to coronary artery bypass grafting
- Blood transfusions and other critical medical and surgical treatments
education Initiatives
Helping with projects such as:
- Academic assistance for trailing high school students to assist them in Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology was established in order to elevate their performance in the entrance examinations to further opportunity in professional studies
- A vocational school to teach sewing and design for the uneducated and poor orphans/widows was established so they may become self sufficient
